Representation can affect the value of an environment, but this environment can refer to a place, people, a social environment and so on. The subaltern is represented with less value by and in comparison to the subject, how does this devalued representation affects assumptions and stereotypes around the subaltern? In this poster I question how this affects the subaltern designer in their design process. As subaltern designers we must take pride in our roots, and the value thereof. Likewise, others must not devalue the subaltern environment.
