Hamlet contemplates life, death, grief and doing the right thing, whilst affectionately holding the skull of the court jester he knew as a child. To be, or not to be is the opening phrase, that is Hamlet literally considering to continue to exist or not. I have made reference to the existence of extremism in the same, yet the skull represents those who have suffered under extremism, with the evidence of a horrific wound to the skull, as seen so many times throughout history. The affection in this case is humanity, but do we allow the existence of extremism and is it to be, or not to be?
