3 billion individuals heavily depend on marine and coastal biodiversity for their livelihoods. However, what we put in the ocean goes in us too, and plastic is becoming the diet source for majority of marine life. As more than 40 percent of our oceans are affected due to human pollution and show no hope of recovery. Our waste could potentially replace life below water if we continue to pollute our oceans.
