The concept of this poster is play on the EU flag as a body of water like the Mediterranean sea. The flag or sea is natural barrier that many refugees try to cross at a cost. EU countries have blocked their borders including the sea to prevent refugees from entering. Lifting the flag is a symbol for letting refugees enter the EU.
