Nationwide, 97 per cent of groundwater is polluted to varying degrees, about 64 per cent of urban groundwater is severely po lluted, 33 per cent of urban groundwater is slightly contamina ted and only 3 per cent of urban groundwater is basically clean. Obviously, the groundwater pollution caused by the increase of surface environmental pollution has posed a serious threat to human health andlife safety. For the safety of our lives, plea se protect the water resources.
